She completed her qualifications to teach MBSR from the Center for Mindfulness at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in 2012.
Porter spent 18 years as an adjunct Professor at Cabrillo College, half of which was spent with the Academy for College Excellence teaching mindfulness and MBSR. Porter currently works full time as a Mindfulness Based Relationship Coach and Meditation Teacher.
