Free Online (Zoom) Group Meditation, on the hour, 24 hours/day, 5 days/week. Supported by 100+ volunteers worldwide.
To help keep us connected in a time of great isolation, to help us stay calm during a time of great anxiety, and to give us an opportunity to support one another we've created Meditate Together. Meditate Together provides free 30 minute drop-in online group meditation sessions, on the hour, 24 hours/day, every weekday from Monday, 1AM ET to Friday, 12AM ET, facilitated by 100+ volunteers worldwide. Establish a daily meditation practice with community support.
Our intention is to create a shared online meditation space to support one another in cultivating mindfulness, healing, and compassion.

Meditate Together Session Overview:
Online meditation sessions are 30 minutes long, split into two halves. The first half is silent time for meditation and the second half is for reflection & sharing.
- First half: 15 minutes of silent time to practice meditation. You can meditate in silence or listen to a guided meditation on your own device.
- Second half: Time for reflection and optional brief share prompted by a check in question. We invite you to try sharing if you feel comfortable doing so. We will mindfully listen and hold this space together. Your facilitator will center the following themes with their reflection questions on different days of the week:
- Monday's Theme: Gratitude, ex. What are you grateful for?
- Tuesday's Theme: Setting intention, ex. What is the intention of your mindfulness practice?
- Wednesday's Theme: Overcoming difficulty, ex. Reflect on a recent challenge that your mindfulness practice helped you with.
- Thursday's Theme: Feeling inspired, ex. What has recently inspired you?
- Friday's Theme: Celebrating, ex. Reflect on an insight or success for the week.
How to sign up for a meditation session:
- Agree to the Participant Code of Conduct: I commit to joining a minimum of 1 session a week, and to treat myself, my facilitator, and my group with kindness. Mindful Leader will not track participation, the commitment is to yourself, to show up, to practice meditation, and to hold space for one another in community.
- Enter your name and email address in the sign up form below.
Once you enter your email address we will send you an email with the latest schedule of meditation sessions, along with the Zoom information you need to join a group. Although you can sign up and practice in any session we suggest finding a regular meditation time that best suits you, ideally on the same day each week. Adding a regular meditation practice to your calendar can help you get the benefits of a daily meditation practice, such as stress relief, better focus, and self-awareness.

Volunteer with Meditate Together:
The success of Meditate Together is directly linked to the incredible volunteer facilitators we have. Our volunteers host each online meditation session and will help you get the most from your practice. Many volunteers first start as participants and then feel a call to try out the role of a facilitator. Other volunteers sign up with various levels of meditation experience and believe in the power of community, compassion, and practice. Overall, it's the heart and generosity of our volunteers that make Meditate Together a special space.
What if I am not comfortable with silent meditation? Our intention is to create an online meditation space for people to come together. If you are not comfortable with silent meditation, you are welcome to listen to a guided meditation recording. When listening to guided meditation, ensure that it enhances, rather than distracts from your meditation experience.
Do I need to have previous experience with meditation to participate? No, our meditation sessions are open to individuals at every meditation skill level, even complete beginners. It is important to note that our meditation sessions are silent and it is not a class where we will teach you meditation exercises. If you are new to meditation, it may be valuable take a class first or to listen to a guided meditation recording for the first few sessions. Listening to a guided meditation will help you learn the practice of meditation and provide you with the resources necessary to have a successful silent meditation session.
What are the benefits of meditation? Participating in our group meditations may be just what you need to improve the overall health of your mind and body. The benefits of meditation can include greater self awareness, stress relief, and a developing sense of presence. You may also experience other benefits as you begin to practice meditation every day, such as an improved quality of sleep. Attempting to be present, distraction-free, and attentive during your meditation will help you get the most from your online session.
Do I have to share during the reflection check in? No, it's optional to share during the second half of the meditation session. We invite you to share if you feel comfortable doing so. We will mindfully listen, without judgment and hold this space together. You may find after becoming more experienced with meditation that sharing seems more natural. Our online community provides an accepting and supportive environment as we meditate together.
What if I don't want to join with my webcam? We ask that participants who join through computers or phones join with their camera on to welcome the group. This is to create a more intimate atmosphere and to protect our meditation sessions from Zoom bombing. You then have the option to turn your camera off for the meditation or reflection portions. If you do not wish to join with your camera, you can find dial-in information for all sessions by clicking "Add to Calendar" and expanding the information section, and then join the meditation session through your phone.
Can I share my personal contact information with other participants or facilitators in Meditate Together sessions? Mindful Leader's policy is that facilitators are not permitted to contact participants outside of Meditate Together sessions, and that participants should refrain from sharing their personal details. Due to the nature of these sessions, we believe in a "What happens in Meditate Together, stays in Meditate Together." We are currently exploring other ways to create community outside of meditation sessions.
Is there a cost to participate in Meditate Together? The program is 100% free.

Are sessions hosted on holidays? On U.S. federal holidays Mindful Leader is closed and Meditate Together is not supported. Some sessions will still be running based on the availability of the volunteer teams.
Are sessions offered on Saturdays and Sundays? Currently, Meditate Together online meditation sessions are only offered Monday through Friday.
